Also known as: MEA, fractional ownership share, common ownership share

The co-ownership share (Miteigentumsanteil) under German condominium law is the calculated share of an apartment owner in the common property. It is expressed in thousandths or ten-thousandths and determines the allocation of charges and costs. A subsequent change requires the consent of all owners. (§ 16 Abs. 2 WEG)
