CIRO creates the tasks around your apartments on its own: when a tenancy starts or ends, a deposit installment is due, maintenance is scheduled or the utility bill statement deadline gets close. You set in your settings how much time you want to spend on this each week. When does CIRO remind you of which deadline?

CIRO calculates the deadlines from data you enter anyway: the end of the billing period, the deposit instalments, the key return and the end of the lease. You do not set up any reminder by hand. The notices appear in your notifications in CIRO, most deadlines also in the "What's next?" card. Reminders about the utility bill statement and the deposit also arrive as a push notification on your phone if you allow push.

If the utility bill statement arrives too late, you can no longer claim a back payment unless you are not responsible for the delay (§ 556 (3) sentence 3 BGB). You still pay out any credit. You can work out the cut-off date for your billing year with the utility statement deadline calculator.

How does CIRO spread the tasks across the week?

In your settings you choose how much time you plan to spend on your rentals each week, in six steps from half an hour to ten hours. CIRO splits the budget across the five weekdays; 180 minutes means 36 minutes a day. Every task carries a time estimate. "Today" lists all tasks that are due today or already overdue.

If a day has time left over, CIRO pulls important tasks from the next seven days forward until your daily share is used up, at most twelve at once. Their due dates stay the same. If the week is fuller than planned, the "Weekly budget" bar turns yellow. On weekdays at 7 am CIRO can send you the daily overview by email.

CIRO spreads that budget across the five weekdays, so 2 hours means 24 minutes a day, and fills your daily list with tasks sorted by deadline and urgency. If you have time left today, CIRO pulls the most important tasks from the next few days forward.

The daily list sits on your dashboard and shows you each morning what is due today, based on your time budget and sorted by deadline. It holds the items where you need to decide or act, such as the deadline for a utility bill statement or an upcoming deposit return, plus your own to-dos. CIRO can also send you the daily summary email on weekdays at 7 a.m. The daily list comes with every plan.

Not at the moment. Deadlines, rent increases and notice dates are in the calendar inside CIRO, next to your tasks. CIRO does not sync them to Google, Outlook or Apple calendars.

Set your time budget to 30 minutes, the lowest option. Deadlines don't move: the utility billing deadline or a deposit return stays on your list, and CIRO keeps reminding you. If more tasks are due than fit the budget, the bar turns yellow, and that's all that happens. The following week, you simply turn the budget back up.
